I research and write science curricula and interpretive wayside and exhibit text for parks, nature centers, and historical sites.
Featured Writing Partner: I've worked with a team at the 106 Group to research and write interpretive text. The example to the right was created for the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.

I work directly with teachers, schools, or districts providing professional development experiences about science and nature.
I'm well-known for my Dragonfly Educator Workshops.
I lead classroom and outdoor activities at schools and nature centers about a wide variety of environmental science topics with special focus on science literacy and women in science. Contact me for more information.

EDUCATOR WORKSHOP TESTIMONIALS
If you have purchased a copy or if you have attended a Dragonfly Workshop you can download the Dragonfly Curriculum Guide and the accompanying files. All files are password protected.
You will need to email me (ALTHOMPS@UMN.EDU) to get the new password for the curriculum guide, the previous password still works for the other files. (Amazon’s “Look Inside” feature shows the interior page with the original password so I needed to make a new one.)
